Schools & Colleges
IMPACT teaches age-appropriate comprehensive violence prevention programs and evidence-based safety trainings for Elementary, Middle, High School, and College-aged students. We teach students of all ages the skills to communicate their boundaries, foster healthy relationships, recognize and resist coercion, de-escalate conflicts, advocate for themselves and others and protect their bodies from harm.

College
We all want college campuses to be places where students can expand their horizons, take on challenges, and shape their futures. At IMPACT, we make sure they can do it safely.
1. Empowerment Self-Defense
IMPACT teaches practical self-defense skills to address the realities of campus safety. Our programs are trauma-informed and relevant to sexual violence from acquaintances, friends, and dating partners. By preparing students to handle potentially unsafe situations, our programs also help students build essential skills that are relevant to many of life's challenges, such as self-advocacy, setting boundaries under pressure, body awareness, and effective communication.
“The IMPACT self-defense course is one of the most life-changing courses I have been a part of.”

2. Bystander Intervention & De-escalation
IMPACT’s bystander programs help students and administrators manage their stress response so they can maintain their own safety while helping others.
Students learn to
- Identify situations that require challenging conversations
- Address defensive and dismissive responses
- Project calm and confidence
- Create safe and positive expectations in friend and student groups
3. Hate Speech and Harassment
IMPACT programs help students respond to hate speech and harassment, maintaining safety while advocating for a respectful campus climate.
4. Healthy Relationships & Sex Education
IMPACT’s approach to teaching healthy relationships and sex education focuses on student empowerment through education. The interactive, discussion-based courses use a variety of tools to help students reach key objectives: understanding what is healthy and what is not (despite what TikTok says), feeling confident in their values, boundaries, and identities, and being capable of making safe choices that are right for them.
Guided by our Core Values, our sex education program is LGBTQ+-inclusive, disability-inclusive, medically accurate, age appropriate, consent-focused, and responsive to the realities of young people. We do not shy away from difficult topics and instead aim to provide a safe space for students to learn about sexual health, sexual consent and coercion, power dynamics, and more.
