Abuse Prevention for School & Organization Staff
Abuse against people with disabilities is a widespread problem. For things to change, schools and organizations that support people with disabilities need to be dedicated to creating an environment that is unsafe for abusers.

Our Approach
Our approach to abuse prevention is collaborative with your organization, and responsive to the needs of the population you serve. We offer:
- Guidance on creating Official Policies that protect people who report suspected abuse, provide clear direction for how to respond to abuse reports, and clearly define safe and healthy interactions.
- Staff Training that helps teachers and service providers understand abuse, challenge potentially abusive behaviors, support the sexuality of people with disabilities, and provide personal care in a way that respects people’s bodies.
- The installation of Abuse Prevention Leadership Teams that support an organizational culture that prevents abuse.
